I know I have been slacking on the belly shots, so here are a few for your enjoyment!!

i can feel the baby!

I can feel the baby kick now! When I first started thinking I felt it, it didn't really feel like a "flutter." That is what most ladies compare it to. It felt like more of a little tap on my belly. But the stronger Donovan gets, the more it feels like a flutter. Mark can't really feel it from the outside yet unless I get in certain positions. It is so exciting! It is such a reassurance to feel him in there! I will update with some current pics this weekend! I am 18 weeks now! woo-hoo!!! almost halfway there!

Mark and I went to the doctor yesterday for our 16 week checkup. Just a routine trip...bloodwork taken, listening to the baby heartbeat, and that is about it....or so we thought! When we finally saw the doctor, she said that she wanted to measure the length of my cervix. In order to do that, you have to do an ultrasound. So, she starts the ultrasound and says, "we will get to sneak a peek at your baby too." So we were excited just to see it! Well, I was joking around with the doctor-not actually thinking she would do what I asked-and I said, "hey, let's see if we can tell if it's a boy or girl, unofficially!" And she said ok!!!! She told us not to tell anyone she was doing this, because people beg to find out early! The sex is usually found out at the 20 week visit. Well, I am almost 17 weeks so we didn't expect this at all! So, she was looking around in there, and we see the spine, the long arms, the hands, the face, and...while we were looking at the legs....we see it!!! A little penis!! WE ARE HAVING A BOY!!!

SO, I bought my first pair of maternity jeans and I LOVE them! I also bought a few maternity tank tops for the gym since my gym clothes don't fit me anymore. Anyway, back to the maternity jeans...L-O-V-E! I have been telling Mark that I am going to wear these even when I am not pregnant...I am sure he loves that! Anyway, I will take some shots of me in the jeans soon and post a picture so you all can see the them-Below are a few shots of me this week. Mark and I think my belly looks bigger with clothes on, so I posted a clothed and an unclothed one. Enjoy!

Last thursday we went to the doctor's again and we heard the heartbeat for the first time! It was so cool! It has a swoosh swoosh sound.
Three more weeks until we are due back!
